Custom facade scaffolding frames in the workshop

Project Background

This order came from an existing customer in South America. The buyer had purchased steel props from us before. After that order, he sent a new request for frame scaffolding products used for facade maintenance work.

This was not a standard repeat order. The buyer only had several product photos. He did not have a finished drawing or a full specification sheet. The target size was 1040×2000mm, and the material was Q195–Q235 steel.

At first, we checked whether the factory could quote from the photos. The factory gave a clear answer: photos were not enough for production. The frame had to be confirmed by drawing before the workshop could start.

Checking the Frame from Photos

For this order, the first step was not production. It was understanding the frame structure from the photos.

The buyer did not have a drawing at first. He sent photos of the frame he wanted us to match. From those photos, we checked the frame shape, tube layout, and side connection points with the factory. After the details were compared several times, we fixed the size at 1040×2000mm.

Because the buyer did not have a drawing, we prepared one based on the photo reference and the confirmed size. This took several rounds. Some details had to be adjusted before the factory and the buyer could both accept the drawing.

This step mattered because the product was for facade scaffolding use. If the frame width, height, or connection details were wrong, the panels might not match the buyer’s existing site setup. For this reason, we did not push the order into production before the drawing was checked.

Production and Factory Photos

After the drawing was confirmed, the factory produced the 1040×2000mm frames with Q195–Q235 steel. The factory photos show the finished frames stacked in the workshop.

The first photo is useful as the main image for this page. It shows the galvanized frames stacked together, with the round tube ends visible. The red and yellow paint marks on the tube ends also make the frame structure easy to see.

Another photo shows the frames tied together in the workshop before loading. The panels were not left loose. They were grouped and strapped before shipment.

Because this was a custom scaffolding frame order, we asked the factory for photos before loading. The buyer checked the frame shape, tube layout, surface finish, and packing from those photos. This step was needed because the order started from reference photos, not a finished drawing.

Packing and Loading

1040x2000 facade scaffolding frames loaded inside container for South America shipment

This order shipped in June 2025. The 1040×2000mm scaffolding frames were loaded as finished panels. In the container, the panels stood upright and were tied with straps.

The buyer was not receiving loose tubes. He was receiving complete frame panels, so the loading photo was kept with the order file for checking before shipment.

After the goods arrived, the buyer confirmed receipt. According to the project record, the buyer later placed another order for a similar product.

Notes for Similar Buyers

This case is useful for buyers who need scaffolding systems for facade maintenance but only have product photos from a previous supplier or jobsite. Photos can help start the discussion, but they are not enough for production.

For similar orders, buyers should confirm the frame size, tube diameter, tube wall thickness, connection points, surface finish, packing method, and loading plan before production. If the frames need to match existing parts, the buyer should also provide photos of the matching components.

This South America order started with reference photos, not a finished drawing. We checked the frame shape from the photos, redrew the 1040×2000mm frame, and sent the details back to the buyer and factory for confirmation. After production, the factory sent photos before loading, and the facade scaffolding frames shipped in June 2025.
